I’d check the flange of the timken race for perpendicular or 90° squared bearing race & PTO shaft to crank case alignment.

Staking is still used on precision bearing race surfaces, the only issue that I can foresee is the uneven surface hinders heat dissipation, but the timken conversion provides additional oil circulation to the bearing, which cools it and reduces the friction that causes the heat anyway, so run it.

If the customer wants an engine that’s set up for failure, and you build it to his specs, then you are responsible for it, so charge them an arm and a leg plus first born child first their way, and your normal rate for a better snd proven, more reliable method. Then if it fails, well. it’s still going to be your fault.

First thing, I "do" like your videos. But your unfair accessment of S&S is acknowledged, too. S&S is not Harley. Their evo engines were made to be a replacement to a lot of genuine Harley issues. Basically S&S founders wanted a better, more reliable replacement. On the Indian, it's a very reliable, highly customizable engine. The glory of using it is a Basically forever suppy of maintenance parts. It seems that you take a lot of frustration and jabs at its likeness to a Harley wannabe. In reality, HD should take lessens from S&S. I own a 2000 Indian Chief, and I give my engine the respect it deserves as a wonderful V twin. I have to say that breather oil release does aggravate me. The solution is to start the bike regularly to keep it from doing that. My complaints of Indian Gilroy years are different from the engine. Chrome used was cheap. Something that is appalling for a 27k machine. And the beachbars on mine, needed because the geniuses thought it would look more classic with a ridiculous frame rake. I opted for 10" mini apes. I won't ride a rototiller. Do lighten up these machines. They don't need to be insulted as Harley wannabes rather a fine versatile evo alternative with great components and S&S carbs were legendary also. Carry on!
